The Canon EOS-1D Mark IV was the last of Canon's APS-H sensor professional cameras, offering a compromise between the speed of the APS-C models and the image quality of full-frame. As one of the first Canon professional DSLRs to offer video recording, it represented a transitional period in digital camera technology while maintaining the legendary durability and reliability of the 1-series cameras.
